GENERAL QUESTIONS
The power cord is approx 1 meter long (100cm). This will need to reach from the boiler unit (under your sink) to a plug to power the boiler. Most of our customers opt to install using an extension lead from their washing machine plug.
The pipes that connect to your boiling water tap are approx 40cm (400mm) long. To ensure these will be long enough measure from the bottom of your current tap to the pipes they connect to.
If you have decided for whatever reason you no longer require your tap and would like to return it, you must meet the following criteria:
1. Your order must have been placed within 14 days of us recieving the return.
2. The tap must be in a brand new, uninstalled condition in all its original packaging.
You should contact our customer services team: info@kranen.uk to open a return. The return postage will be at yuor cost and upon receipt of your tap back to us you will be subject to a 20% restocking fee (charged to us by our distribution warehouse - 20% of your total order value).
Yes, Kranen taps are PVD coated.
Solutions

TROUBLESHOOTING
Possible causes & solutions
The water pressure is lower than 1.5 bar, or higher than 5 bar: Check the pipe pressure. Check if the aerator is blocked (clean if required). If unsure, please consult a professional.
The unit is boiling: Turn your Kranen 3-1 boiling water tap handle to ON and release the water.
Possible causes & solutions
The boiler isn't plugged in/powered on: Make sure the boiler is plugged into a grounded plug socket.
Check the circuit breaker and fuse to ensure they are working correctly.
Possible causes & solutions
The water temp is set to high temperature on the boiler unit: Adjust the temperature to a lower setting on the boiler unit.
Possible causes & solutions
The expansion chamber isn’t draining the system correctly due to very small draw off water: Draw off 0.5L of water to clear and prime the system.
The spout is blocked: Remove and clean the aerator (to remove turn anti-clockwise on the end of your taps spout).
Possible causes & solutions
Your water filter may be clogged from impurities in the water: The water filter must be changed every 6 months, or this will void the taps warranty. Click here to order a new filter (and get 10% off!).
Possible causes & solutions
The boiler is designed for non-pressurised operation and there will be a slight delay till the near boiling water appears: After alot of boilng water has been used there may be a slightly longer delay in the water appearing from the boiling water tap spout while the boiler refills and re-heats.
Possible causes & solutions
Mains water valves have been turned off: Turn on all mains water valves.
Possible causes & solutions
Mains water valves have been turned off: Turn on all mains water valves.
Inlet pipes have been blocked or twisted: Ensure the pipes are non-twisted or kinked to restrict flow. Remove and clean the aerator. Remove your boiler as per the descaling instructions and flush through all pipes to ensure water flow.
Possible causes & solutions
Air trapped inside your carbon water filter: It is advisable to switch off the mains water supply to your boiling water tap before commencing, before doing so fill a pouring jug with water (this will be needed at a later stage to prime the carbon water filter). The next step would be to remove the carbon water filter from its housing by twisting, have a cloth at hand to place under the filter housing to collect any excess water (the amount of water should be minimal). Hold the carbon water filter over the sink and slowly pour water into the top opening, as you are doing this, air bubbles will probably be visible, continue until the air bubbles disappear (1 litre of water should suffice, be sure to pour into the filter slowly). Keeping the carbon water filter upright slowly replace into the housing, twisting until the arrows line up. Turn the water supply to your boiling water tap back on and test the flow, the problem should now be solved.
